Beaver County Justice Courts 

The mission of the Utah Courts is to provide the people an open, fair, efficient, and independent system for the advancement of justice under the law.


This Court handles Beaver County Sheriff’s Office, Utah Highway Patrol, Department of Wildlife Resources (DWR), and other law enforcement agencies. This includes arrests and citations for charges that are class B or C misdemeanors and infractions.  We also handle civil small claims cases up to $15,000.00.

For tickets that are Mandatory Appearances a court hearing will be set up. If you cannot attend and/or would like to enter a plea of Guilty or No Contest plea please click the link to watch your rights video and fill out the online form. 1-3 business days after the form is completed your fine will be set up for you to pay online or send in a check or money order.

Deferred Traffic

Plea in Abeyance (traffic school)

What is Deferred Traffic Prosecution?

  • If you get a ticket, Deferred Traffic Prosecution can keep points off of your driving record.
  • If you qualify, you pay a fine like a normal ticket. Depending on your record, you might also have to take traffic school online and pay for that. Then the charge gets dismissed if you have a clean record for 1 year.

To qualify you must:

  • Apply within 21 days of receiving your citation 
  • Be 21 or older
  • Have a valid Utah driver's license 
  • Have no more other traffic infraction conviction in the last 24 months

A Plea in Abeyance requires you to complete an online traffic school and to have a clean driving record for the next 3 months. There is an addition $25 dollars added to your court fine and you paid $45 directly to the traffic school.
You do not qualify for a Plea in Abeyance if
  • You have a CDL and/or
  • You were charged with speed 100mph or over and/or
  • You have had another ticket within the last year

Plea in Abeyance

After you complete the form and it was been approved by the judge you will receive an email with a link to the traffic school and a link to pay your fine. If you do not qualify you will receive and email letting you know of other options.
