Road Maintenance

While funding sources for the road department are drying up or significantly being reduced and the economy is forcing budget reductions, the road department is faced with a large task to provide the same or better maintenance of roads with fewer funds and therefore smaller crews and resources.

Our Request

Within this dynamic we would ask that the citizens be patient as we do the best we can with the resources available. Also, we need citizen's feedback and notification of any road problems. Please contact Cory Beebe, (435)-463-2679 or by email, with any notifications and feedback.

The scope of work of our maintenance and the standard schedule is outlined below.

  • Cattle guard construction or replacement
  • Culvert replacement
  • One resealing of oiled roads every 5-7 years
  • Pot hole and shoulder work as needed
  • Snow removal on major transportation routes
  • Two gradings per dirt or graveled road per year (One in the spring and one in the fall, or as needed, and as resources allow)
